I couldn't agree more. We have normalized the trivial, the vulgar, and the violent. We need to push for art of a higher quality, both in our own works and in others.

"I vote to poeticize the obscene, and make the explicit beautiful again." - Yes!!! The other day I was thinking why I was so disgusted by sex scenes in recent movies/shows, while I was able to handle them in older entertainment. Maybe because they made them sensual, beautiful, poetic. I might not necessarily want to see everything, but when done beautifully and with nuance, it's highly appreciated. And the same with any other art.

Absolutely! When it comes to old films I also love the natural seduction of old hollywood dames. We have lost that quality nowadays, the mystique, classy and enigmatic quality of films— or at least I have yet to discover any modern films that fit that description, unless they are period pieces that is.

Oh yes. Actors of yore knew how to sell seduction and sensuality. Nowadays the sex looks like I shouldn't be watching it at all, like I'm peeping on someone's IRL intercourse. It feels wrong. And I'm so against censorship in art!
